Meet the Founder
Jeffrey Gonell is the Founder and President of Gonell Fitness Management (GFM), bringing more than 16 years of experience in the management and operation of employee fitness centers across corporate and community environments.
Throughout his career, Jeffrey has supported workplace fitness operations for organizations including Bank of America, MetLife, and Credit Suisse, where he gained firsthand experience managing employee fitness centers within diverse corporate cultures. These experiences shaped GFM's site-specific operating philosophy—recognizing that every workforce is different and every employee fitness center should be managed accordingly.
Jeffrey holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science from PennWest University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Exercise Science. His professional credentials include certification as a Corporate Wellness Coach, IFPA Certified Fitness Facility Management Specialist, and more than 25 industry certifications spanning fitness, wellness, and facility management.
Under Jeffrey's leadership, Gonell Fitness Management has been built as a specialized employee fitness center management company dedicated to helping employers and strategic partners operate safe, engaging, and professionally managed workplace fitness facilities through customized operations and exceptional service.
